Yes, canelé caters. Consider us for art openings, small weddings, intimate dinners, boxed lunches, or hosting your party at the restaurant.

We are a beer and wine establishment. Our wine list features small producers from California, Italy, France, and a Chasselas in homage of our Chef's Swiss roots. Travels abroad have inspired several bubbly appertifs and we offer a London Mary and mimosa at brunch. Non-alcoholic options include Izze and Pellegrino sodas, LAMill coffees, Chado teas, and delicious and pure filtered water.

Give the gift of deliciousness. To purchase a gift certificate call 323-666-7133, come by the restaurant, shop on our Facebook page, or buy them right here on our website.

Don't worry, there is no need to make one. Because of our small size we don't take reservations. In addition to our dining room tables we have a few bar stools with an excellent view of the kitchen and a lively and popular communal table.

We'd love to hear from you. Please keep in mind that during the week we are not open until the evening, so you may need to leave us a message if calling during the day. Don't worry, we'll get back to you lickity-split.

Sign up on our email/mailing list and you will receive occasional updates about special events at the restaurant. (Don't worry–we won't flood your inbox with junk and we'll keep all of your info to ourselves.)

As is immediately apparent by our seasonally driven menus, we are regulars at the local farmer's markets around Los Angeles. Our weekly stops: Wednesday in Santa Monica, Saturday in Silver Lake, and Sunday at our very own Atwater Village market. If you see chef Corina and/or her crew (they'll be the ones with the dolly and big crates full of fresh, organic produce), say hi!

to see and speak with you? Right here at 3219 Glendale Blvd. Come by! Need directions on getting here?

Our namesake is pronounced "cah·nah·lay," although the chef sometimes jokingly says "can·nel·lo·ni." Don't let her fool you. Our moniker comes from a luscious little molded dessert originally from Bordeaux.

Some refer to it as a baked custard or a cake, but this doesn't do justice to the unique character of canelé. Like so many wonders of baking, the ingredients are simple: milk, flour, butter, sugar, and eggs, but the process is complex. The batter must rest for a full 24 hours and is a temperamental beast. But when the stars are aligned and the cook has had plenty of practice, it produces two, maybe three bites of sweet perfection—chewy, crunchy, and tender all at once.

We named our restaurant after this sweet treat because we hope that our little place will have a similar greater-than-the-sum-of-its-parts effect. We shop at local farmer’s markets, seeking food that is direct, simple, comforting, but irresistibly tasty. We’ve built the dining room to be welcoming and unpretentious, and we do our best to serve you in that same spirit. We hope that these elements, when the stars align and we’re on top of our game, will create a dining experience as satisfying, even as wondrous, as our namesake. Come on by, and we’ll give you a taste of both.

The canelé marks the spot: 3219 Glendale Blvd in Los Angeles (not too be confused with Glendale Ave, which is in nearby Glendale) between Edenhurst Ave and Brunswick Ave. Atwater Village is conveniently located off of the 5 and 2 freeways and neighboring Silver Lake, Glendale, Elysian Valley, and Los Feliz.

From Hwy 5 take Glendale Blvd exit. From State Route 2 take San Fernando Road or Fletcher Drive. Click on map above for details.

We do not offer valet, but there is public parking available on Glendale Blvd and neighboring streets, with meters active 8:00 - 8:00.

In the six years since we've been here, Atwater Village has become a destination for good eats, drinks, shopping, exercise, and entertainment. Details magazine recently declared the village one of The Six Hottest Emerging Neighborhoods In the World's Greatest Cities. We encourage you to stroll and enjoy the community we're so proud to be a part of.
